Motor Cycle Injury Claim?

I have had motorbikes since 1979. 5 Years ago a driver pulled out in front of me when I was riding by motorbike both bike and car where written off driver uninjured I went though the whole major trauma experience I was left in the road looking at the bones in my leg although full recovery.
Has any been through this I have been offered £8000 for injuries but the point is I get the impression that the insurance companies for both parties and all the experts are not exactly trying to get the best settlement for me they all get there fees and belittle the injuries and it seems the last thing my solicitor (appointed by insurance company) wants is for this to go to court.
It really does feel you are on your own I have asked for a judgement from the court and the solicitors reply is that I will have to pay costs and because he fells the award would be less he would have to advise the insurance company with the likeyhood that they will withdraw indemnity (my insurance policy cover is for £50,000 legal fees)

Well, I think that you were lucky to have a full recovery. Keep in mind that insurance companies exist to take as much money IN as possible without paying any money OUT. So, your solicitor probably would lie in order to get you to settle, or at least stretch the truth a little. See if someone else had a similar accident and what they got.
good question…
if its the 1st offer then refuse it
i guess you have had a insurance medical? what did they say /.. full recovery in ? months…. are you still suffering in pain request another medical from your insurance company
i had a accident similar to yours 4 years ago i had a laceration on my left knee cap n below 7/8 inches i got £9680 just for the injury i suffered morebut they only payout for one pain even if you got more they take the main injury… my 1st offer was £1600 ..lol 2nd was 4000 i just hung it out and i did not use my insurane legal fees you dont need it theres always a compant out there who will do a no win no fee claim if its not a strong case they will not take it on so why pay for this on your insurance and if it is your fault thats what the 3rd party insurance covers and you have to have that
yes insurance companys are in it for themselves
good luck with your claim and i hope you get whats right and fair for you ..all the best
I get the impression that your solicitor has divided loyalties between you, and the industry which sends him all his work.
You need a second opinion, and there are no win no fee specialists who advertise in the m/c press. Best try one; they can at least comment on the realism (or not) of the offer.
